Hello, it’s me, the queen of laziness again! This morning while getting ready for work, I noticed I hadn’t used my hair donut in a while and decided I wanted to change up my usual updo and create a huge bun instead. I forgot how much I loved this look, and why it was my go-to before I started doing smaller buns on dirty hair days.
If you don’t already own a hair donut, first of all, why?! Go to Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart or any dollar store and you’ll find a variety of sizes, trust me they’re life changing.
The first step is to put your hair in a high ponytail. Don’t worry about it being perfect, this is supposed to be a messy look so the less effort the better.
Next, take your hair donut and slip it through the end of your ponytail, then start rolling your hair into it until you get to your roots. Once you’ve fixed your hair around the donut so that I completely covers it, pull out some hair to “poof” your bun and add more volume. If you have loose ends, use bobby pins to secure them in. As a finishing touch, loosen some face framing pieces.
All this talk about donuts is making me crave one, later vacay diet!
